We decided to take a mini trip to Minnesota and visit the Mall of America this past weekend. Steve's brother Kyle came to visit for the week, and had never been--so we thought it'd be a great little getaway for all of us. We took the boys 2 years ago--and they have been begging to go back ever since. First up on the agenda was the Nickelodeon Universe amusement park.
I was seriously impressed with both Hunter and Tanner and their no fear approach to riding the 'big scary' rides. Tanner was slightly more cautious than Hunter was--but they both were champs and rode almost every ride in the entire park.
Little Miss Mia Kate was just about perfect! Honestly, I was concerned that she wouldn't make it, and meltdown halfway through the day. If you have never been to the Mall of America before--let's just say it is very loud, very chaotic, and major stimulus overload. That girl was a rock star and was content to sit in her stroller and watch all of the people and action going on all around her. Thank you Mia.
Did I mention sugar overload as well??! There are honestly so many stores and shops at the Mall, that it could quite possibly take you a week to walk through all of them. We tried our best, and lasted about 7 hours that day--but eventually exhaustion took over and the kids were spent.
This last picture is probably my favorite one of the entire weekend (thanks Kyle.) Sooo telling of my two boys. Tanner did eventually meltdown, and was done. He couldn't manage to walk into another store and was a limp noodle. Hunter's face is classic and if you know him well--you know this 'look' of his. It was a fun and exhausting day all rolled into one.

MOA is such a fun place! Also nice that it isn't very far away! Fun little weekend getaway!
