{easter weekend wrap up}

Wrapping up our Easter weekend...finally! I already posted a little bit about Easter last Sunday, but just wanted to add a few more pictures from that day. Since our church is at 11:00am, we didn't want to distract from the real purpose of why we celebrate this special day. So, it was nice to have a little something waiting for each of them when they woke up-- then we could get ready and go to church, and then come home that afternoon for a little egg hunt in the backyard.

Notice the blue lips....Nice! :)
Thank you blue warhead.

Happy kids! They had a lot of fun hunting for eggs.

We had a 'traditional' Easter Sunday feast of spiraled ham, funeral potatoes, green salad, hot rolls, deviled eggs and brownies and ice cream with hot fudge for dessert. (I think the only thing we were missing was the green jello--then it'd be legit)

I already miss our dear friends, and it's only been a couple days. There are definitely times when we get homesick and miss our families--especially when it comes to holidays. But the Janke family made our Easter weekend, one of my favorite in recent memory and we are so thankful that they chose to come spend it with us.
