{birthday celebration}

Make A Wish.....

We celebrated Tanner's 4th birthday at the Incredible Pizza Company this year. I seriously love that place. It is so much fun, and we always have a great time when we go there. Tanner was also pretty excited about the Iron Man cake that his dad made for him this year.

Opening presents.

Tanner was very spoiled this year, and got a lot of really cool presents. We are SO SO thankful to our incredible families--that do so much for us. Tanner has such wonderful grandparents and great grandparents that are so thoughtful and always remember him on his birthday. As I'm sure you've noticed, Tanner kind has a thing for Iron Man and dragons right now--so it was definitely an Iron Man/dragon filled birthday! Thank you everyone who helped to make his birthday great!

Fun at the Pizza Company

It was so fun to have my mom here this past weekend, to celebrate Tanner's birthday with us. My boys absolutely adore their grandma, and Steve and I really appreciate all that she does for us. Love you mom :)

{happy birthday iron man}

Iron Man Tanner

On October 22, Tanner turned 4 years old. Oh how we love this silly little boy of ours. He is truly a bright light in our home. He is full of so much joy and life. He is growing up so fast, it makes me kind of sad to see how much he is not my little baby anymore. He is getting more and more independent each and every day. He loves his big brother so much, and tries to be just like him.

His 4th birthday was full of all things Iron Man.

His dad made him this very cool Iron Man cake (I take absolutely zero credit on this one) and he couldn't have been more thrilled. We had a wonderful day celebrating Tanner's birthday. More pics and posts to come......

{night eyes 2011}

My mom came into town last weekend, to celebrate Tanner's 4th Birthday with us. On Friday night, we decided it would be fun to go to Night Eyes at the zoo. This is something that we look forward to doing every year!

The weather was absolutely perfect that night, and we all had a great time! The boys were pretty dang excited to wear their Halloween costumes for the very first time this year!

{oh baby}

{12 weeks}

I am filled with such joy and happiness when I look at this picture above. To say that we are over the moon excited to have another little baby join our family is an understatement. What gets me the most excited I think, is seeing the joy in my kids' faces, when they talk about getting a new little brother or sister next Spring. (April 21st to be exact.)

I have been feeling pretty good over these past few weeks, aside from the 1st trimester fatigue and exhaustion--I have felt great. Really my only "real" complaint is that I had about a 3 week period from about 7-10 weeks, where I had major aversions to almost all foods. I got extremely queasy even thinking about food, or preparing food for that matter. And then one morning, it just magically went away. Kind of strange for me, since I never had that experience with my previous two.

And oddly enough, the only lingering aversion from that 3 week period of time, is a MAJOR aversion and STRONG distaste to my once beloved beverage of choice--Diet Coke or my favorite which (is/was) diet Dr. Pepper! How weird is that?! Something that I would look forward to almost everyday--and brought me much happiness (sad, but true) now literally makes me want to throw up even thinking about it. I know, I know I shouldn't even be drinking caffeinated drinks during pregnancy in the first place--so I "suppose" it is for the best right?

I just wonder if my love for cola will ever come back?? But the one thing I know for sure.....

is that my LOVE for this growing little baby of mine--is here to stay!!
