{apples. pumpkins. peaches}

Apples, pumpkins and peaches....
this time of year those three things make me smile.
I have mentioned many times before (even I am sick of saying it) but-- Oh how I love the Fall time. It is definitely my favorite season. It is so gorgeous this time of year, with all of the corn fields, rolling hills, and soon to be changing leaves outside. The crisp cool air is just delightful. And I am loving every second of it. We have made it a little tradition of ours, to go to the Apple Orchard to kick off the Fall season and enjoy the beautiful farm and orchards.

We took the kids to Center Grove Apple Orchard this past weekend, and spent a really fun afternoon there. It was 60 degrees outside, and honestly you couldn't have asked for a more perfect Fall day. After getting our fill of freshly baked apple cider donuts and apple slushies---we headed out into the farm. Not without bringing home 1/2 peck of my absolute favorite apples--Honey Crisp. I'm still trying to decide if I want to make an apple crisp with them this year, or do our caramel apples again.......

The Corn Pool is always a favorite

We decided not to get our pumpkins just yet, since it is so early on in the season--but how can you not smile by looking at all of these gorgeous pumpkins???

Guess who is setting up their Halloween decorations this week???

3 little piggies

The pictures speak for themselves, we had a great time!!!

And yesterday while I was at Costco, I picked up a crate of the most deliciously plump peaches I had ever seen.  Today, they were whipped up into a homemade peach pie. I have never made a peach pie before, but it sure sounded good for dessert on this beautiful Fall day.

And now......
I'm off to make some homemade whipped cream.

{studio portraits}

Little Miss Mia Kate is already 5 months old. She is growing and changing so quickly. I wished that I could capture every moment of this little girl's life, and keep it imprinted forever in my mind. Oh how I love my squishy, lovable, little baby girl. I took her to get some picture taken today, since she was not about to cooperate with us last month when we had our family photos taken. I am not a huge fan of studo portraits, but at this age, this is about as good as you can hope for.

Aaaand, the princess is done!

{soccer 101}

 This Fall, we decided to sign both boys up for soccer. It is actually the first time that either one of them have played before. Hunter has really enjoyed doing karate in the past, and has done really well with that-- but I think that team building sports are also really important too.

Hunter has been playing for a couple weeks now, and has practice once a week, and a game every Sat. for 8 weeks. His team already won their first game last weekend, and he was so excited.

He has a great team and a great coach, and I am looking forward to going to his games each week. I'm so proud of my buddy for doing his best and trying something new.

Tanner buddy is playing soccer through the YMCA. His first practice was today, and he has been looking forward to playing soccer ever since he watched Hunter play.

And best of all, his little buddy Carter is playing with him too.

**Wait.....does this mean I'm a soccer mom??**

 While we were in Utah this summer, my best friend took some family photos for us. It had been well over 2 years since we had any taken, and we were overdue. Even though coordinating family photos is probably my least favorite thing to....they turned out awesome!! Thanks Jamie :)

{last year in preschool}

Tanner had his first day of preschool today. It also will be his last year of preschool before he starts kindergarten next Fall. We have absolutely loved the school program over the years. Both of my boys have attended and it has been such a great experience. He has been very anxious to start ever since Hunter went back to school a few weeks ago.

Oh my, how my sweet little Tanner looks up to his big brother!! It's quite apparent in the picture I took right before Hunter left on this bus this morning, and did you happen to notice the shoes he is wearing?? Hmm, wonder why he wanted those.

It's going to be a great year!
