{ten years}

June 21, 2002

The day I became Andrea Morris.....and nothing has ever been the same since.
It's hard to believe that an entire decade has passed since that beautiful summer day in June-- when a Davis Dart married a Northridge Knight. I sometimes forget what my life was like before I got married 10 years ago. Steve and I have certainly been through our share of ups and downs, triumphs and trials over this decade of marriage. Just to name a few.....

-Graduation from nursing school.
 -Worked at LDS hospital together (me as a nurse, Steve as an EKG tech.)
-Utes football games in the Fall
-Camping trip with a mountain lion, Caribbean cruise with the Stewarts, Vegas Vacation with the Morris'
-Graduation from the University of Utah with undergraduate degree.
-Birth of our first child.
-Moved to Iowa
-Bought our first home together
-Medical School
-Worked in the ICU at Methodist
-Birth of our second child
-Moved back to Utah, lots of traveling to Provo and Idaho.
-Worked at McKay Dee in Labor and Delivery
-Moved back to Iowa
-Started Residency in Family Medicine
-a grand mal seizure (just to keep life interesting)
-Moved yet again
-Birth of our third child

And SO much more in between. When I reflect back the one thing that remains constant is that Steve has been by my side 100% for better or worse, and always unconditionally. And we have had our fair share of 'worse' no doubt about that. But throughout it all, these experiences we have shared together (and at times barely endured together) has only made us stronger. I have no doubt we will share many more precious memories and adventures together as time goes on.

So Happy 10 year Anniversary to us!
It has been a journey well worth the ride.

On our actual Anniversary day, we all went out as a family to one of our favorite pizza places to celebrate.

And then Steve surprised me with this very simple and delicate little heart necklace that has 3 little diamonds to represent the 3 precious gems in my life. So sweet! I love it so much.

And tonight we were able to go out on a 'real date' to celebrate.
The Avengers in 3D and dinner.
Thank you Allison for watching all the kiddos so we could enjoy a night out.

{2 months}

:2 months old:

Mia Kate is 2 months old. Wow, Really?!
This little girl has captured my heart.
She is such a joy to have in our home and we couldn't quite imagine life without her.
My boys LOVE helping me pick out her outfit each morning, and call her their little dolly.
I took her in this morning for her 2 month check up and shots (boo!)
She is starting to smile now, which is so much fun.
I love her squishy cheeks and chubby thighs.
She has been doing SO SO much better sleeping through the night.
It was a bit rough in the beginning, but little miss has been sleeping until about 6-6:30 every morning (yay!)
At her check up, she weighed in a 12.5 lbs (80th%)
and 24 in. (90th%)
Definitely a happy, thriving, growing baby.

You are one loved baby Mia Kate.

{oh what fun}

I think they *kinda* like her.
Is it just me, or do they remind you of a bunch of tourists at Disneyland??

The main attraction being this little peanut below.
All I can say, is that this kid better get used to flashing lights

7 weeks old.
(Thanks Jess and my mom for the darling outfit)

Papa Scott and his newest little princess.

Papa Scott with a scary dragon.

Proud grandma

With my parents and sister here visiting--we decided to take full advantage and tried to fit in as many fun things as we could. One day we went to Raccoon River with the kids and enjoyed a nice day at the beach.

We also took a nice drive to Pella for an afternoon of Dutch pastries and relaxing at the park.

My sister with the buddies. Oh how they adore her.

Who wouldn't love my sister as an aunt?! She is WAY cooler than I am. (or so I'm told) One of the nights, she had a 'camp out' on the trampoline with the boys and watched a movie until midnight with them. Treats, candy, popcorn, drinks, and snuggly blankets--good times for sure.

She is also a pretty cool sister too. On one of the last nights she was here, we were able to get out for a couple hours one evening to go shopping and out to a movie. Don't get me wrong--I love my kids, but man is it refreshing once in awhile to get out and enjoy an evening minus my trio of mischievous rugrats.

LOVED this movie. It was sooo good!

{blessed}

We blessed Mia Kate this past weekend.
It was a beautiful day, and it reminded me yet again how blessed we are as a family. I just adore this precious little girl, and feel such joy at being her mom.

My little family of five.

Proud daddy Steve.

My mom, dad and sister all came out for the occasion.
Steve and I are SO blessed to have such wonderful families, and I feel very grateful for all the sacrifices that they make on our behalf.
