Blessing Dress

 

 

 

Mia Kate will be blessed this next Sunday.

 I wanted to get a few photos of her in her pretty white dress since she looks like a little dolly (according to her brothers.) I had a lot of fun taking her pictures this weekend. When I look at my baby all dressed in white-- it reminds me of how precious she is, and that she is a daughter of God. What an awesome responsibility I have to raise this sweet girl--to teach her, guide her, and instruct her in the ways of truth and righteousness. She has been a true delight to have in our home and her sweet little spirit can be felt daily.

:School is out:

 How did that happen, for reals I can't believe summer is officially here.

This little dude had his last day in the 1st grade.

We celebrated by going out for some frozen yogurt.

And this little dude has been practicing his pilot skills as of late.

 He thinks he is Iron man, and he sits in his makeshift box that Steve crafted for him while watching his favorite movie.

Lately we've been whipping up batches of these shortbread cookies.

I just finished this book and LOVED it!! It reminds me a lot of Hunger Games, and I already can't wait to start the next book in the series. I'd highly recommend it.

 

And my last instagram of the day--Mimi and her dragon.

 I had put her down for a nap and a little while later when I walked by to check on her, I saw that somebody had put a stuffed little dragon next to her.

{4 weeks}

:4 weeks old:

Little Miss is 4 weeks old. She is growing and changing every day. I hate it. I wished that I could bottle up that precious little 'newborn smell' and keep it forever. She is becoming much more alert during the days, which has been fun. Nights are not fun. But we'll get through it. Her brothers adore her. Her parents dote on her.

And...

 The other day I was at Old Navy, and I bought her these teeny tiny jelly shoes. Pretty ridiculous I'd say! What 4 week old needs a pair of jelly shoes? I'm finding that girls are kinda fun to dress up.

And that makes me smile.

Grandma Morris and Kyle came out to visit us and meet baby Mia last week. We were able to do a lot of fun things while they were here, and it was so nice to have extra helping hands around. I am starting to realize very quickly that 3 kiddos is a lot more work than I anticipated. Ha! Mornings can be a little tricky for us, and little Miss likes to keep me awake all night long. So, having them here really helped me out, especially with the 2 boys. I am looking forward to summer break here in a couple weeks, and getting back to a normal routine.


Grandma and Mia

We were able to go to the Tulip Festival while they were here, which turned out to be the 'Stem Festival'-- because all the tulips bloomed early this year, so all that was left were the green stems. We still had a really great time though. And let's be honest, the reason why I look forward to going every year, is to get my fill of Dutch pastries. Which were YUM.MY!!

One of the nights they were here, they got a room at the Drury Hotel just for fun. We took the boys swimming and had fun eating there too.

We also all went and saw The Avengers. I am SO SO happy that I got to go too. Thankfully grandma was kind enough to stay home with the baby so I could come along. It was Awe.some!! I already want to go and see it again it was that good.

 

And as the story always goes, they had to get back on a plane bound for Utah yesterday.

We already miss them.....

Our little Mia is just about 3 weeks old. I can't believe how fast the time has gone.We are loving her more and more every day. She is such a sweet and happy baby and we are all enamoured with her. My good friend Christia took these pics of Mia when she was one week old--and I love how they turned out. The last one just *might* be my favorite though.
