{a visit from kyle}

Steve's youngest brother Kyle came out to visit us over Spring Break this past week. We had SUCH a fun time with him here, and I know the boys were VERY sad to see him go. We all were :( He is such a great uncle to the boys, and they love him very much.

While Steve was on call at the hospital one of the days he was here, Kyle and I took the boys to see a movie and went out to eat at one of our favorite restaurants--Smashburger. It was a lot of fun, and later that evening we drove into Steve's work for a quick visit.

Steve and Kyle were able to go to a concert downtown and out to a movie as well, and I know that they had a great time spending time together. My favorite part of Kyle's visit was when we would all just hang out and stay up late watching movies.

Tanner grew pretty attached to Kyle while he was here, and followed him around the house most of the day. It was pretty dang cute.

Hunter and Kyle playing Mario Kart on their 3DS's.

Hunter loved having him here as well, and thought it was SO cool that Kyle would play the Wii and DS with him. Even though Hunter bombarded Kyle with about 100 different questions every day, and talked nonstop--they had a great time together. We really did have a fun time over Spring Break, and I have really enjoyed having this time with my kids out of school.

Today Steve has the day off, so we are headed to the Zoo before school starts back up again next week.

{lucky day}

:Happy St. Patrick's Day:

Today has been a very lucky day indeed.

The boys woke up to a breakfast of green scrambled eggs and bacon--YUM! And would you know.... a sneaky little leprechaun left them treasure hunt to go on too. They had a great time following all of the clues, and did in fact find their hidden treasure at the end of the rainbow.

I used these adorable free printables from {here.} I gotta say-- I feel pretty lucky that there are so many crafty people out there that create such fun things, and post them for others to use.

Another reason why today has been such a lucky day is because-- Steve's youngest brother Kyle is here visiting over Spring Break. As you can see, the boys are thoroughly enjoying their time with uncle Kyle. (Many more pics to come I am sure)

We have lots of fun things planned for this week, and I am really looking forward to spending Spring Break with my family. Because in just a few more weeks, another little lucky charm will be joining us!!!

{baby bump}

:my baby:
bump

My dear friend Christia, who also happens to be a super talented photographer talked me into doing some maternity shots this past week. I love how they turned out and I am so happy that I decided to get them done.
Looking back on my two previous pregnancies with the boys--I think that I *might* have about 2-3 pictures total of me when I was towards the end of my pregnancies. I kind of regret that now. I mean lets be honest--there may be a handful of those glowing happy pregnant women out there that love every minute of their 9 months--I however am definitely not one of them. I'm not complaining, just not my favorite state to be in, let alone be photographed in. So, I decided that I might as well have something documented of this time in my life, and I feel really happy with the results. Baby girl, {Miss Mia Kate} will be here in about 5 weeks from now (or sooner) and I am filled with such joy and happiness in my heart. I am feeling SO much better than I have in recent weeks and am really looking forward to welcoming another sweet little spirit into our home.

{birthday celebration}

A birthday celebration

Our favorite little 7 year old celebrated his birthday this past Sunday. It was a great day spent with just our little family and grandma. Hunter requested a Transformer's birthday cake this year, some balloons and for me to decorate with a birthday banner--and that's exactly what he got!

We got up early Sunday and all went to church that morning. Hunter was excited to open up one present before we left.

Love this boy!

Hunter was very spoiled this year and received some great presents from everyone. He got Mario Kart for his Nintendo DS, a two-headed fire breathing dragon, Transformers, chapter books, birthday money, a knight, binoculars, a flashlight, some clothes and a new accessory case for his DS.

{family fun night}

This past week we had a great time celebrating Hunter's birthday! Grandma Morris flew out from Utah to spend the weekend with us, and we really had wonderful time with her.

We took the kids to family fun night at Hunter's school while Grandma Margaret was here. It is always such a fun time and the boys really had a great time. Pizza, mini golf, inflatables, games, cake walks, and prizes--yep, it was a great night out!

{birthday boy turns 7}

Happy 7th Birthday to my

Hunter

My firstborn turned 7 years old today!

I look at this photo collage above--of Hunter over the last year and can't believe how grown up he looks. Hunter has really matured and grown a lot over the past 12 months. I sometimes forget that he is an independent little first-grader and can do so many things without his mom's help. (He reminds me of that fact on many occasions.) My love for this handsome little guy has grown more than I could ever imagine. He is such a

boy! He has really grown to love reading books this school year, and likes to read chapter books the most. He has many friends at school, and is very considerate of others' feelings. He is a great big brother to Tanner and makes sure he always includes him in everything he does. He has been taking Tai Kwon Do over the past 6 months and has done extremely well. He practices hard and really enjoys learning new things. His favorite food is chicken noodle soup and sprite. His favorite treats are Krispy Kremes and peanut butter cups. His favorite movies are: Percy Jackson and the Lightening Thief and Transformers. He also loves to play dragons and dinosaurs with his brother.

We love our handsome little 7 year old so much and are so proud of him.

Happy Birthday buddy!
