What a completely wonderful and scenic Labor Day weekend it has been. We have lived in Iowa for over 7 years now....and in the past 2 days we have visited two places that we have never been before. First up was the Bridges of Madison County near Winterset and John Wayne's birthplace. There are about 5 covered bridges left, and they are spread throughout the county. It was such a pleasant day and the weather was amazing. We couldn't have asked for better weather or better company on a Sunday afternoon.
Little Miss Mia Kate is so independent. She wants to do everything herself.
A quick little stop at Frostee's for icecream and slushies--Yum!
What a nice, quaint little town Winterset is. I can't wait to come back for another visit soon.
